Rather than trying to memorize everything, try and understand the material first. It may click more if you dont try and just memorize everything all at once. Also, just looking over everything everyday will help you retain the information.

Just to piggy back what Meg11 says, I would suggest making sure you pick a place to live on the bus line. Charlottesville has various means of transportation from the free trolley, UVA bus, and the general public bus. They are all free since you are a student. I live right outside of Charlottesville and will be either getting a parking pass or catching the bus from the downtown mall (a pedestrian walking mall with a lot of restaurants and shopping). In the past I have parked at the mall and caught the free trolley which has a stop right in front of the hospital which is adjacent to the nursing school. The downside to parking at the mall is I have always had to allot an extra hour into my travel time b/c the bus never is precisely on schedule and I don't like to be late. Yes. That would be great if you could give me your email address. It's such a small world. I actually live in Vernon ,which is a neighboring town of Manchester. I also applied to Southern CT ACE Nursing Program but I was hoping to get into UVa instead. I look forward to speaking with you.

Hello, I'm new to allnurses but I also got in and I'm so excited. I'm actually from Connecticut and was interested about the area. I have never been to Charlottesville. Is it mostly a college town? Congrats to everyone that was accepted.
