  1. Hi, I am a current BSN student in florida who will be finished with the program early december. I will be moving to Pittsburgh and have questions about UPMC hiring process. I cant seem to find any information on the website about their new nurse residency/orientation process. It doesnt help that i am coming a different state. the place m school affiliates with has come to our school and discusses the hiring process. Are there certain dates for new grades to apply for their residency? ie: for the healthcare system here, you have the first 5 days of the month to apply. i know nothing about the UPMC hiring process and ANY information can help me. also, do you need ur license before you apply?
  2. hi, i will be finished with my BSN program in florida in dec 2015. i will be moving to pittsburgh in dec and i want to know what the best way to get a job at UPMC. i have not been there for any of my clinical experience and i am worried that it will be harder to get a job there. do you think that it will be harder for me to get a job? i have thought about volunteering to get my foot in the door, but im unsure if that will help at all. i am very anxious that it will be twice as hard to get a job. does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this?
