  1. Oh my gosh....maybe we're in the same class??? I have Ragland on M & W from 6-9.
  2. Hey Nicole.....I got my letter on Wed. too!!! I went to Center today to pay my $100.00 fee. I am taking A & P this semester so I will be done with all of the pre-req's. Best of Luck to you!!!! Maybe we will end up in the same group???
  3. i'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the long awaited letter arrived today. the mail man should be relieved that i won't be stalking him anymore. oh my gosh, i'm so emotional. i started taking my pre-req's 2 years ago and the time has gone by sooo fast. i'm anxious, happy, scared and most of all excited to get the ball rolling. i'm so thankful for this website. it was really helpful knowing that so many others are along for the ride too. best of luck to you all!!!
  4. Just wondering if there is anyone else out there attending, or planning to attend Macomb's Nursing program?? I have applied and am just waiting to hear the verdict. I thought (more like HOPED) that the letters would have gone out last week since they went out the last week in March last year, but no such luck. Just hoping to touch base with someone close to home.
  5. yea!!! congratulations...i'm so happy for you. do you know when you will be starting? i think you had mentioned before that you may have to put it off until spring of '06? i am in the same situation. if i get accepted for fall of '05 i will postpone until march of '06. i want to give my youngest a good start like i did for my oldest. she will be starting preschool in the fall and i want to spend some time with her, volunteer to be "snack mom", etc. plus it will be easier/cheaper for childcare. i would start in march, go for 8 weeks then have the summer off. when i go back in the fall, my oldest will be in school full-time(1st grade). anyways, congrats again.....get a babysitter and go out and celebrate!!!! you deserve it.
  6. Confusedasnormal........there's meds for that (hahaha)....I should know, I'v been on them :chuckle. You're not alone, I'v been running to the mailbox every day too and our cut off was Feb. 15!!!! I KNOW that there's no way that my letter will be in the mail this soon, but I still get so anxious when I open the mailbox. Hope you hear soon...let us all know.
  7. Is the NET test the same as the HESI? I had to take the HESI exam last month. My school weighs the test score at 50% and your last 12 credit hrs. GPA at 50% for ranking. I am taking my last pre-req(A & P) right now and I love it. I also finished up my non-nursing classes. Thought it would be easier once I'm in the program to just have to worry about the nursing classes & clinicals. Best of luck to you.
  8. Thanks for your reply...I don't feel so alone!! O.K., 18 credits, horses to care for AND a job??? You will have no problem adjusting the the demands of nursing school!! I will let everyone know if I get accepted and hope you'll do the same............I'm sure you will be baking brownies soon!!!!
  9. Hello all....I'm new here and am wondering if there's anyone else out there going crazy while waiting to find out if they've been accepted to a nursing program? I live in Michigan and have applied to Macomb Community College and the cut off for applications was Feb. 15. Not supposed to hear anything for about 1 1/2 - 2 months. In the meantime I am taking A&P, so between that and my two little ones I do keep busy. Our college accepts 120 students with 4 start dates: Aug., Oct., Jan., and March. Last year I believe that over 1000 people applied so it is very competitive, as I'm sure it is everywhere. I'm just so anxious and excited to get started. I'm 33 yrs. old, a wife and mother of two. This is something I have wanted to do since graduating from high school and I am so thankful that I now have the opportunity to go for it!!!!
