i have always had a similar problem, not extreme anxiety but major nervousness and it is very visible. i just hated my speech class. you've gotten this far in your schooling, pre-req's, and nursing courses..don't let this one thing get you down. truth is, no one else cares how you do when you are speaking. good luck

that's not really how the gpa works though. when any school is talking about cumulative gpa, they are looking at every college you've ever been to and averaging those gpas. you can't just fail out of one college and expect to start over at a new one. yeah you start over for their new gpa, but your cumulative record stays with you forever

Hey guys, I have a question regarding the English requirement for the ADN program... Does it have to be English 101-103, or can you still get in with English 1A/1B? It's odd that the ADN program has a different English requirement than the BSN program. I have 1A-1B from community college already, would like to avoid taking more English if possible.

i want to go but my family says the tuition is too much. did you all take out private loans? i don't think i could qualify for one w/o a co-signer because i don't have assets like a house, etc

I would say look at a private school or schools that only go by your pre-req gpa and testing score (usually TEAS). I wouldn't re-take any pre-req classes unless the school you're applying to doesn't mark you down for it. On schools I've applied to, you get marked down if you re-took it more than once within the past 5 years. And competition is brutal out there for bsn programs... You need to pick a school that has less competition, and one that doesn't grade you based on overall gpa. If you're going for a state uni or something, I think it will be difficult with 3.34. But if you're going for an associate's in nursing, your gpa is okay. It just depends on your competition at the time of your application.
