Thanks guys! Just sent in my deposit to take the TeasV in January... Program starts in March! I took a practice test in the McGraw Hill book and got 100% on everything but science (70%). So excited!

I have been trying to figure out the same thing. I have a Bachelor's in Gerontology and I am thinking about an LPN. For me, it looks like the LPN makes more sense than the RN. For one, the LPN programs are usually about one year. Then if you decide you love nursing, bridge programs are about another year. That way you can start making money and paying back your loans faster :) Good luck!

Hi there- I have been trying to figure out what to do with my life since I graduated from college two years ago. I have a Bachelor's in Gerontology, and I have experience working as a director of recreation in a LTC facility. I don't think I want to be an administrator, and I don't want to do recreation anymore. When I first graduated, I almost went for my RN at a local community college. I took the A&P prerequisite I needed there, but I really didn't like the school, so I didn't apply. Now I am thinking about a local PN program, and possibly doing case management or even sticking to nursing if I like it. Do many people get their BA before their LPN? Would it be advantageous for me to have an LPN in addition to my BA in Gerontology? Thank you all
