  1. Is university of Maryland university college (umuc) accredited by CCNE or NLN? If a school is not accredited by one of these, you obtain your degree and then they become accredited, is your degree just as good as if they were accredited while you were going through school? They are regionally accredited but wasn't sure about the other. How long does it take for accreditation?
  2. For those of you that are Air Force nurses, have they been offering a bonus to extend your service years once your time comes up? I am wondering how the pay in the military compares to civilians after all bonuses are added in. Were any of you civilian nurses before entering the AF and if so, do you think you made the right move? What is the typical day like as a nurse in the Air Force? Do you have any say as to what department you want to work in or if you want to switch units? I prefer pediatrics.
  3. How does the AF base their retirement after 20 years? Is it a certain percentage of the last 3 years of income or something to that nature? Also if my husband went back in active duty and I was active duty would we both receive BAH and BAS or since we are both active duty do they only give that to one of us? Thanks
  4. Did you think the HESI was harder???
  5. Thinking about relocating...Just wondering what the starting pay is for new grads? Anyone work for Trident Health System or anywhere in Charleston?

Thanks. Sounds like you never get a chance to rest! I am still trying to decide if I can fit it in with my school schedule. I think the CNAs do 12 hr shifts in Tele at the hospital I am looking at also.

Just wondering if there is anyone on here that has worked in telemetry. I am considering applying for a CNA position in telemetry but wanted to get an idea of what I would be getting myself into.

Hi, I was just wondering what kinds of things CNAs would be doing in telemetry. I want to get a job in the hospital but don't know which area I want to work in. Any suggestions or ideas? I have no prior experience except clinicals. Thanks
