Nclex RN exam problem
Hello, Sorry to hear about that, but you can do it and dont give up!! did you review your weakest areas from the Kaplan assessment analysis? Regarding Saunders, did you do the assessment exam on the cd and then follow the 6weeks content review. Content is that foundation of NCLEX, I know many people prefer reviewing questions, but if you are lacking in content you will not be able to use strategies to its full potential. Try Saunders again, do an assessment, then determine you areas of concern. review all the content the 6 wks. study schedule outlined. Set your own time for study eliminating all distrations including cell phones, try to study content 4 hrs. aday 5days a week. If you still dont understand something, please do not skip to the next chapter, look it up, from an old text book, google, u-tube videos etc...then practice questions . NCLEX3500 is very similar to nclex as you know, I did 75 a day and review all it's rationales. Questions from NCSBN learning extension is great as well, since they prepare the NCLEX exam, I would use their content as a guide only and then use Saunders, since its (ncsbn) content is limited on information were as Saunders is very broad and informative. Also, P.D.A. by LaCharity is great and a must have for answer priority type questions, I rented mine from Amazon for $20. I had a lot of SATA which to me are based on content, so again content, content comes before anything else. If you plan to take NCLEX in April, then you must know that Management of care and safety & infection control questions will increase by 1%, the good news is that Pharmocology will drop by 1%. So you need to be familiar with how to answer priority type questions, Kaplan strategy book in good for that, I got mine used from Amazon for 15 bucks. Try to build critical thinking, Kaplan trainers helped me, so find out what will work for you. Good luck!!! believe in yourself, pray base on your religion and be confident. Here is a link I got from this site, it helped my with some infection control type questions. I also, did review this 2 and 3 days before the exam [COLOR=#003366]https://allnurses.com/attachment.php?...7&d=1310076980 25855834-Nclex-Study-Guide.pdf

Pearson TRICK worked!!! I AM A R.N.!!!
Hello all, eveven thoug I recieved the good pop up after I took my test i was stilll a little worried, but I checked the quick result from the Fl B.O.N. and it stated STATUS: PASS!!!! Praise GOD, one major journey is over and now I can move on to the next! Good luck to all you NCLEX future test takers!! and remember to put content first, to me thats what it was all about, Saunders is exceptional for this, practice lots of questions to determine exactly what it is asking(mst concern = something is wrong, patient to see first= stable/unstable see frist, acute c first vs. chronic, for SATA true or false, futher instruction= something is wrong in client statement, review therapuetic communication if forgotten, priority = ABCs if not list, nutrition if not list, determine clients safety etc.). Nclex was not easy, some answers required critical thinking, so try to work on that as well, determine areas you are weak in and review them whether from test books or u- tube videos. 2 questions I recieved were patient charts with progress note section, doctors orders section and pt assessment section, where I had to determine clients outcome from that, so try to be similar with those, I never had those while I was reviewing even on Kaplan, but it was quiet similar to case study section in kaplan, but not so complex. Remember to relax and be confident. ANinstuctor oncE old me to take my time and try my best to answer the first 20 q correct and every thing will b ok after that, so dont rush the exam, you have 6 hrs.!!!

Nclex next Saturday
you will be fine, I used all those study aids as well, took the exam saturday morning.... check pearson and got the good pop up after 75 q....Saunders is great for content, so if you reviewed it all you will do okay. Try to do questions from now on if finished with kaplan.....you may want to try nclex 3500 questions now since it is very similar to the real thing in my opinion.

Please help NCLEX-RN advice needed.....
Saunders comp... 5th ed is great for content, PDA by laCharity is a must have for priority and delegation type questions, kaplan review program is excellent for building critical thinking skills and do lots of questions, even from nclex 3500 which are free online. I used all those study aids and pass with 75 questions recently. I studied content for 6wks. base on the assessment schedule saunders gave for about 4hr. a day, afterwhich I would do about a day 100q from kaplan or from one of there trainers. After completing the saunders book I used the pda and nclex 3500 for questions while reviewing there rationales for 2 weeks. Hope this helps....
