  1. My nursing GPA was 3.25.
  2. I got accepted to the FNP for Fall 2018!! Excited and super nervous:happy:
  3. Wow, so the deadline was extended and I decided to take the leap! Super nervous, I submitted yesterday for the FNP and nurse educator certificate. I pray my transcripts are verified in sufficient timing. Did everybody's take about a month for transcript entry?? I paid the extra for them to do it. That seems to be the average time...I wish I would have read on here how fast they've been notifying about acceptance.
  4. See I love the idea of the mentor program, that is ultimately what I would like to do, I know it would have helped me tremendously during my first semester and even now. I'm in North Carolina so I'm not sure if you could help or not @Coriander. But if so, my email is [email protected]!! I'm just trying to figure out all the steps and what I need to do. Thanks so much guys, I'm getting excited!
  5. That's great, thanks for the input. It's sometimes awkard trying to communicate with the upper class nurses sometimes and I really want to break that barrier. We all know how hard nursing school is, so I think it would be important to have a form of a support system at school as well. I am currently researching how to start a chapter at my school, wish me luck!
  6. Hello, I am a senior BSN student. For a lomg time I have been thinking about starting some kind of chapter of a nursing organization. My school has recently gotten their nursing program started back up and there is no type of nursing support or organization for leadership roles, volunteering, mentoring or anything like that. I feel that it would be beneficial to the nursing students. I'm looking into starting a chapter of one of the organizations such as National Student Nurses Association. Which organizations are most common on your campus? Do you feel it is beneficial as a nursing student or more of a hinderance? If you are in a leadership role is it really hard to manage being a leader in the organization along with school work? Thanks so much for the input everyone!
  7. Hello all, I took the Kaplan test this past weekend. I got a 65% the first time, because I sucked pretty bad on the A & P part, but I'm retaking it in September and I didn't really study before I took it either but I have the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exams book, I reviewed that and I plan to mainly use my Anatomy and Physiology books to cover the high points of each section. Happy Testing!! :)
  8. I didn't get in, they said my GPA wasn't high enough, which I kinda figured that anyway, my gpa was about a 3.3. Oh well, I tried, I'm applying to a lot of other BSN programs and NCCU's ABSN so I hope I get in there
  9. Thanks I hope so! I called the Nursing Department today asking them about a prerequisite and the lady told me that they were considering doing an Accelerated BSN program next semester possibly. That's sort of good news. I would love to do the ABSN, but of course the AE MSN is more convenient with already having a bachelors degree. Just a little news I wanted to share with you guys.
  10. So they have already started contacting people to do interviews?? @KJohnson2013 when did you submit all of your materials and what was your GPA if you don't mind me asking.
  11. Okay so the deadline for the program is today. how are you guys feeling? What was your GPA and GRE score? I had to take the new one, I really don't think I'm in the 30th percentile like it says is require, being that I got 148 on one of the parts (not sure which b/c I haven't gotten my official scores yet). My GPA is about a 3.4, I'm really nervousabout the whole process
