My license is posted now. Took a few phone calls and emails for a request to SLED to be initiated for their portion of my background check.

I'd just be honest with them. Bring to the interview the documents you mentioned and if the topic arises, tell them that you are waiting for your license to arrive in the mail. In my experience in SC, while in nursing school I applied for a few RN positions in Nov. 2014, had two interviews at different facilities in Dec. 2014 plus follow up interviews for each, graduated in Dec. 2014, accepted one of two job offers and received an option for a start date of Feb. 2 or March 2, 2015, began pre-employment paperwork and health screening/drug test in Feb 2015, and took NCLEX in Feb. 2015, license just posted yesterday, start working March 2. The point of the previous sentence is that my nursing license was never a factor during the interviews or initial hiring process. During the interviews and follow up interviews, each facility knew that I was still in school and about to graduate in a few weeks. The job I accepted gave me a start date option after I accepted the position and asked me when did I plan on taking the NCLEX. The employer knows that they are considering hiring a new graduate (based off of your resume) and they know what a new graduate must go through and usually provides time for you to complete the necessary requirements (take NCLEX, wait for license, etc.) to proceed in the hiring process. I think your current concern is a non factor for the interviews.

PVT worked for me. Took NCLEX 2.5.15. Test was scheduled at 2 p.m. but I walked in a little after 1 p.m. and was able to start then. Walked out at 2 something, closer to 3 p.m. and immediately did the pvt no more than 15 minutes after finishing the exam and got the good pop up (gpu). I continued to do the pvt throughout the day to the point that I memorized my card number and still got the gpu. 24 hours plus later still gpu. Got quick results today, 2.7.15, a little after 3 p.m. and I passed the NCLEX! How I did the pvt: register to take exam as having taken the exam already, put in your credit card number and click submit, I got the triangle that said our records indicate that you've already scheduled an exam (something like that), which is the gpu. I stopped at 100 questions and the last one was, in my opinion, a pretty easy ordering question, so. .. Anyway, good luck everyone!

Hi all, I'm in SC. Everything on my application has been accepted except my background check which I had completed on December 3, 2014. I live in Columbia, so I've gone up there and was told not to worry about it that they'd update it and nothing changed. I've called two times since my visit at least a week apart. The first call was no help at all, it seemed she was busy and wanted me off the phone. The second call the lady told me to get the tracking number for my background check/fingerprinting and call back with it. I did and the lady checked and apparently didn't see anything and said she'd check with fbi and sled and update it online. No update since those calls. Still pending. I've taken and passed the nclex and accepted a position at a local hospital that I begin in March contingent on my application being updated before then and my license show up. Any one have advice as to what I should do so that my application is updated resulting in my license appearing?
