  1. I talked to the lady at the health office. She told me as long as you turn your health packet in before the 1st it will be ok due to the delay in acceptance letters. I am so glad they are taking into account the acceptance letters were sent out late and being lenient on the deadlines. So if any of you that have been accepted havent gotten all of that taken care of yet don't freak out.
  2. so i need both of them. that's why i was confused. it said they both had a fee that is charged annually so i thought i would need one or the other.
  3. thanks! that seems like a long time. all they asked from me is a tb test and varicella titer. did you only turn in just the health stuff or all the paperwork? like including the parking and that kind of thing? because i don't have all of that together. i don't understand the parking thing. it says you have the choice between a pass, and parking lot lol. sorry for all the questions, i don't know anyone in the nursing program.
  4. for everyone who got in, did you turn in all the health paperwork already? i was wondering if there was a deadline to turn it in. i got the only appointment i could and they're going to read the tb test today. so it's the soonest i could do it but i am worried.
  5. did anyone else get in yet?
  6. i think so. if you look at the admission criteria it doesn't say the score you need to get on the hesi even. unless i missed something but check it out: LSUHSC School of Nursing | BSN - Admission Criteria i was told the minimum when i went to the information session for new applicants. i want to say they told us you had to at least make a 70 on the hesi and over 700 on critical thinking. i had it all written down but I've misplaced it somehow. but try not to think about it too much you're going to stress yourself out and you might have gotten in!
  7. i think a 76 is above their requirement for the hesi, but you needed above a 700 on critical thinking so you might want to check that out too. i had a 3.4 nursing prereq. i think yours is fine. i got an 89 on the hesi,i don't remember what i got on critical thinking but it was over 700 and my interview was absolutely horrible in my opinion lol. my letter was great but i caught one simple mistake on it after i turned it in. i guess it all balanced out somehow. they are really late on sending them out this time so try not to freak out and give it a few days (easier said than done, i know.)
  8. i got in! they mailed the letter out the 11th, and i got it today. so THERE IS STILL HOPE to everyone waiting, and i am praying for y'all. thank god because i was really starting to panic and it's cutting it pretty close to next semester. it says Jan 4th is the mandatory new student orientation. does anyone know if it is the same for everyone?and if anyone wants to carpool with me, i live on the northshore, but i won't be taking the causeway. i live right by the twinspans so that would take longer.
  9. i am to the point that i am highly disappointed with the school. Apparently they don't have it together whatsoever. if i would have known it was going to be like this, i wouldn't have applied. it's absolutely ridiculous to claim they're still in the acceptance process for applicants, when some already have their schedules. not only that, but if i don't get in, i need to start school next semester elsewhere! it's inconsiderate and unprofessional, and i guess i will be the first person to point it out on here lol.
  10. thank you thuyti3n! i feel a lot better now :)
  11. no acceptance letter for me yet as far as i know no denials or "wait list" letters have been sent.
  12. I didn't get a letter yet today... Again! It's Dec 3rd... If we have to let them know we want our spot by Dec 7th it seems like they would have sent them all by now. :/
  13. Thanks kAdams i feel better now lol. I wonder why they wouldn't mail them all at once. Where do you live? I live on the northshore and i haven't heard of anyone from here getting one yet.
  14. Still no letter did anyone get a denial letter yet?
