  1. I'm so sorry it took me this long to reply. I didn't get any email notifications on your posts. I will email everyone today. Unfortunately my NCSBN already expired. I only had a week left on it. For those who asked I did Kaplan's 1200+ questions, then when I was on the run I would listen to my Hurst lectures, and then 2 weeks or so before the exam i purchased NCSBN. What i did do differently this time around also, was write every rationale for almost every question in a book. Write so you will understand when you are reviewing. and Everyday go over the notes you wrote and it will help you tremendously and then you will be able to pick up a certain pattern when answering the questions. If you do the questions by category then write it in your note book by category also, so you can easily go back to a certain area you wan to review. Trust me thhis works, takes time to sit and write all those rationales but it is worth it.
  2. Thank you! The content that NCSBN covers is pretty much what I head on the NCLEX but every review that u can get ur hands on is good.
  3. The NCSBN is reading based. I do think is that the amount of information they give you is very overwhelming and I didn't go through it this time around. I used hurst as my content review and used NCSBN for practice questions. I will suggest whenever you do questions write the rationale for reach question and use that not book as a review when ur not by a computer. I did that and it helped a lot.
  4. Thank you! You can purchase the kaplan book at barnes and noble and I heard hurst has a book in stores also. If u have a friend you guys can share the hurst online lectures.
  5. Yes lol..thanks I meant anyone..(swype texting smh)
  6. I used the hurst book along with the recorded lectures at first, then I started listening to the lectures by itself on my phone almost everywhere I went (i saved the recordings on my phone lol). Then I used NCSBN to reinforce. Make sure u do NCSBN test banks especially pharm. Know ur room assignments/Infection Control. (never put two AIDS patient, never put antoine with an infection with sickle cell client learned that on NCSBN), chest tubes, blood transfusion, 24hr urine collection, CVA, TPN, hyper/hypothyroidsm (remember BP up in both) ur levels, traction. All these Hurst goes over so listen to them again!

  8. I know it can be very discouraging when you fail a test as big as this. I have been there and I am willing to help anyone with study materials if they would like. I used the following 1. Prayer and Faith (consistently) 2.HURST 3.KAPLAN 4.NCSBN I passed with 97 questions (I think) I found that Kaplan gave me good practice questions but when it came down to it Hurst made me understand so I didn't have to memorize. The last resource was NCSBN. People they make the test! Though kaplan was good for practicing, NCSBN I figured would have questions on the areas NCLEX would ask, and I was right. I also used the LaCharity book but when I found that I was good on delegation and priority I stopped using it. This third time around I really believe that NCSBN and Hurst did it for me. If anyone would like more info/study aides just let me know
