  1. I don't think I'm accepting Penn as it's so expensive but has anyone received their fin aid packages? They are supposed to be sending them out today
  2. @cyncyn Everyone has different opinions. And that's just one NP giving you her/his opinion
  3. @cyncyn Smu is a great nursing school. I work with a bunch of awesome nurses from smu. Congrats!
  4. I called financial aid today and they said they are aiming for the end of the month to send out financial aid packages. I hope this happens soon. Can't wait :-)
  5. @kp I didn't go to any info sessions. I applied twice and got in this year. I'm sure it's helpful though.
  6. I got in too for Fnp. Congrats everyone! For people who didn't get in regardless of what school we choose we will be nurses :-) honestly I cannot fathom paying or considering Penn unless I get financial aid. :-( anyone know when we find out about financial aid?
  7. Omg. In for fnp. Congrats everyone!
  8. Haha. Yeah same here. I feel that once I hear back at least from one school I can at least relax a bit.
  9. Due to schedule conflicts many of my non science prerequisite classes were taken at a CC. You cannot tell from my transcripts because it is a reputable CC not an online school. However if were u I would take science classes in person with lab because most schools will not take those online. A lot of people discredit online classes but the ones that I have taken at my CC have been really good. Goodluck
  10. maspsu08 I would be up to meet up the night before. However, I can't send you a private message. I'm going to see if the phone app will let me.
  11. @mshamilton Who knows how they choose people for interviews. I don't think my stats standout except for health care experience. Since graduating 5 years ago I have worked for one company in the health care field. My volunteer experience has nothing to do with health care. My gpa for undergrad was a 3.6. I speak Spanish and a little Arabic. I'm happy Duke doesn't require a GRE because my scores are way below average. For everyone applying to nursing school good luck. I hope we find our place.
  12. Thanks scwolf. Anticipating the interview was exhausting! This whole process is exhausting but also really exciting. Those look like great odds :-)
  13. @Finger'sCross'd. This "fun" waiting is going too slowly!!!
  14. Does anyone know if this year it's a 50 percent chance after interviewing? I interviewed last year and they interviewed 2x as many applicants as spots. They didn't mention anything about that this year. Also good news for FNP applicants is that they have 15 slots this year. That's one more than last year. I figure that's a good sign. Now we just got to wait....good luck everyone!
