  1. @danaika, Congratulations!!!!! Sounds like you pass!!!!! :-)
  2. @nursesolu, it's not a problem at all, research work visa when to get a chance, I hope everythin works out for you, stay in touch!!!
  3. @danaika, my scores were abt the same as yours, I agree with nursesolu, just review notes for maybe an hour or so and then relax!!! You will do fine, good luck!!! :-)
  4. @nursesolu, I'm in VA and I do believe that they will want a SSN for home health, I'm not familiar with your situation but is a green card an option for you?
  5. @Nursesolu, it is easy to get into home health, I actually started there as a lpn, and it was my first job with no prior healthcare experience, so if you would like to make money now, I would definitely give home care a try and maybe do volunteer work on the side until u are able to transfer to a hospital or something of your choice, but if you want experience, I would not stay in home health long term, I'm hopin to get into a RN residency program in my area as it is very hard to get into a hospital as a new grad
  6. @nursesolu Congratulations!!!! I'm so happy for you, I'm not up to much at the moment, I'm working in home health with hopes of transitioning to a hospital, how about you?
  7. @faith246 thank you, and yes we are :-) let me know the good news of nclex when u get it
  8. @afhopeful, the decision tree that kaplan teaches did not help me at all, I did try using but had no luck wit it
  9. Not a problem nursesolu and good luck to u!!!
  10. @nursesolu, the lectures were also boring to me as well so I stopped watching them, doing the qbanks and making sure I understood all info that was covered in the qbank helped me pass
  11. @Nrs209 Thank you and good luck to you, I'm sure u will pass with no problems :-)
  12. @nursingbro you can get the trainers from kaplan website, but most of every thing I study came from the qbanks, I used the trainers just for more questions but the qbanks in my opinion is what helped me the most
  13. @shakeys you can get the qbanks/trainers from the kaplan website, I'm not sure of the price as I got mine through my school
  14. @nursingfem007 take a break when u get overwhelmed, I was feeling the same way and just took a day to myself to refocus, ur scores are similar to mine so I am sure you will do fine, just review and understand the rationale and try not to be sick to ur stomach as I was on the day of the test :-)
  15. @begosh i graduated sept 27 of this year
  16. Thank you and I am sure you will do just fine, kaplan helped me a lot with answering questions on the nclex
  17. I have been on this site multiple times and found many encouragements from it as I study for my nclex and wanted to share my story. I only used kaplan qbanks and the trainers, my scores ranged from the 50s and 60s. I reviewed ever qbank and looked up anything I did not know or understand. I passed nclex on November 20th 2012 with 75 questions. I did the PVT about 15 mins after the test and got the good pop up. I called Virginia BON verication number the next morning and it was confirmed that I was officially a RN. The nclex had very basic questions, the kaplan in my opinion seemed harder then the nclex. I hope this helps anyone who may have had doubts about kaplan as I did at first. Good luck to the future nclex rn test takers.
