  1. I have been working home health and have a 14 month old patient with a gtube. Her gtube was recently replaced and now I notice a distinctly fishy, tuna like smell from the abdominal fluids. The insertion site is red but no pus is present. I notified the patient's father and will notify the day nurse (I work nights). Do I still need to notify the doctor as well or is notifying the parent and day nurse enough? Thanks!
  2. Well , I didn't get the position on the pulmonary unit I interviewed for but the manager DID recommend me to the manager on spine and neuro...... I start orientation February 18!!!!!!
  3. Well, I got a job! The manager I interviewed with recommended me to the manager on the spine/neuro unit. I ended up interviewing over the phone and was offered the position. I'm shocked:-)
  4. I didn't get the job :-( I don't know what went wrong. I felt the peer interview went really well and thought I nailed it. I'm crushed but will move on to the next.
  5. Thank you for all your responses. I really hope this job is it, finally! I'll update you all Tuesday :-)
  6. I attended a new graduate interview day and interviewed with the nurse manager for a hospital 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, the manager called and asked if I would come to the unit for a peer interview this week. I've never heard of a peer interview before. Does this mean they will offer me the job or do they do this when there is still multiple applicants for 1 position?
