  1. Hello, I'm currently in a DNP-FNP brick and mortar program. We are still conducting lecture via zoom but we get to interact. I am a kinesthetic and visual learner and know that physical flash cards tend to help me a lot. I have been overwhelmed by the amount of information/reading that we need to process and I'd like to find something that can help me get through the content without spending all of my time making flash cards. I was never a student that needed to read the textbook and that is hindering me in these two courses because I am a slow reader (find myself easily distracted and my mind wanders after only a few minutes). I have two children under 3 and work part-time (I have recently cut back to ~16hrs/wk). Along with that, there are many home responsibilities that my husband and I share with what is basically a miniature farm. Are there any tips to this or resources that you have had good luck with? Maybe a method that I could quickly research and implement into my study practices? I have looked for ready made flash cards and can only find the Leek Pharm Phlash and Patho Phlash card decks. Would these be helpful or do you think they lack the depth required for the FNP? I appreciate all the advise that I can get. Thanks!
  2. Hello, I had my notifications turned off so I'm just seeing your message. How did you fare? Will you be starting this Summer? Do you have anymore questions?
  3. Great! I am currently in the second semester of the program. Covid has made the in-person component "interesting" but I love PLU so far and don't regret starting even if it isn't ideal right now.
  4. Hello! I've been searching on here for forums regarding the FNP-DNP program at PLU with a 2020 start. I submitted my application on the 01 Dec deadline, however, had to update my transcripts the following week due to requesting that Nursing CAS input my coursework from my transcripts. Anyhow, I received an email today requesting a phone interview and I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard anything? I'm at a loss for what they will ask (said it would be roughly 30min). I'm nervous but glad it's this early. It'll give me a chance to apply to some other schools if I don't feel it goes well. I'm just really trying to stick to in-person schools. Any info from others or advice from current students would be appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Hey, everyone! I'm new to posting on here but am also a selectee for FY13. I received an email regarding the need to go to the recruiting station to get fingerprints done, anyone else get this (I'm active duty)? Also, I'm unconditionally accepted to Binghamton University but am holding out to finish my classes in late-December and get my letter from Colorado State University-Pueblo. Is anyone else going to CSU?
