  1. i think anywhere 80% + is good or competitive :) The TEAS V is supposed to be MUCH tougher than the previous version and it's not like you can legitimetely ever go in to a professional school entrance exam expecting to get a 100%, although you should always try So as long as you get an 80 or above i think you should be fine *kind of compare it to like the MCAT(where the MAX score is 45), you prob won't get the MAX score but a 30 is considered good on the MCAT, where likewise id say an 80 is considered good on the TEAS :)
  2. how about Chem? don't they take those A's too???
  3. hey all I'm also looking into applying to TWU, but the one in Houston... the campus is BEAUTIFUL and ive been really impressed by the NCLEX exam scores for all the TWU campuses combined(as the NCLEX is the MOST IMPORTANT thing for a nursing school in my opinion) and it's annually around 95% :) The deadline is Feb. 1st correct??? And since i am not coming from Dallas/Houston area, correct me if i am wrong but: 1. We need to apply to the TWU in Denton on applytexas FIRST, wait 2 weeks for acceptance 2. SECOND, create a profile on Pioneer Portal 3. Go to "My tools" and apply for the College of Nursing 4. Take the TEAS V or send in our TEAS V score...
  4. I went to visit the campus recently... and all i have to say is... W.O.W!!!! Everything about the campus, the city, the TMC and everything there is just SOOOO amazing!!! I wish everyone the best of luck getting in and hope to continue to hear from you guys and keep updated as far as admissions go
  5. awesome!! Well goodluck to you all and God Bless!! I will actually be applying for admission into Fall 2013, so best of luck to you all and hopefully ill see you guys next fall :)
  6. hey guys, i've kinda been stalking this page recently lol... im not going to lie I'm actually NOT from the Houston area, but i'm fascinated and thoroughly amazed by the medical center in the Houston area and i know/believe that UTHSC Houston is the right choice/place for me. I mean, the nursing school is rated top in Texas... i just have ONE BIG QUESTION... For the traditional track BSN program are the semesters laid out as follows: Fall, Spring, Summer, Fall (or) Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring I'm asking because i have the feeling that it leads to an EARLIER graduation date, which is ALWAYS even BETTER!!! and you don't have to worry about summer breaks in between(which are always a hassle)
  7. one more thing, it's kind of a silly question but what's the name of the Hesi study guide that you all used??? there's a ton of them lol and i don't want to get the wrong one
  8. hey guys! Greetings and happy holidays!! I am applying for the Fall of 2013 as well at UTHSC Houston... it's ranked the best in the state and the facilities and hospitals surrounding it are amazing, so good luck to everyone I haven't taken my Hesi yet, but my stats are as follows.... overall 3.5.. pre req... 3.67
