  1. I have been on a cardiac stepdown unit for almost 6 months now. This is my first job out of nursing school. I feel that my passion is in OB and in school had a love for that class. I'm wanting to switch over to OB. Eventually become a women's health NP or something similar. I'm wanting to get opinions on if I should try and make the switch soon or stay at my current position for at least 1 year. Also, if I decide to try and switch now how likely do you think I would get hired for an OB position being a new nurse with 6 months of cardiac experience. I enjoy nursing, but just know that where I'm at right now is not what I'm meant to do. All opinions would be appreciated.
