  1. As I said before,I absolutely loved it! I just finished myfirst year and am looking to get an aide or tech position in a mental health unit to get my foot in the door. At the end of every day of my rotation I always felt like I had made a difference, and it was the best feeling I ever had! I wantto go on after my RN and specialize in Psych nursing...possibly a CNS or NP...either way I will be doing what I love...some people tell you it's not REAL nursing, but I take great offense to that...any time you change someone's life for the better, it is nursing, and I am proud to be among the ranks!
  2. good luck to you...I am a newly finished first year student who had my mental health rotation this year and absolutely loved it. I knew I would since psychology has always fascinated me...stick with it if it's what you really want to do...and don't let anyone kid you too bad about being a "Psych" nurse...I think it's the greatest!
