Hi StacieB! I went to UMD for nursing school and you are right about not taking transfer students, however they do take transfer major students in the school. I know that may not be your ideal situation but I knew a few students in my class who wanted into the nursing program so they started in other science majors and got some pre reqs out of the way. Just another option and something to think about. I think you should def apply to the schools you want to. They look at your overall package and even if your GPA isn't the highest if your science classes are good they prefer that. Good luck you will get in somewhere! :)
