  1. When you applied. When did UNBC contact you?
  2. I am looking into applying to the nurse practitioner program at University of Northern British Columbia. Has anyone applied or is in the program that can give tips on how they applied? The website isn't very clear.. Any courses you took to strengthen your application? What GPA are you applying with?
  3. No email here.. I don't get the whole process of how they select people. I'm also sitting at 4a's. 32 seats seem nothing aah
  4. Congrats! :) Has anyone else received an email? Do you still think they're sending them out?
  5. My interview was this morning (friday) and it went great! I was discouraged though because for this intake they are interviewing 80 applicants for 32 spots which means a 40% chance to get in :/ The questions were easy I didn't find them hard to answer.
  6. She didn't really say how many people they were going to interview. At my info session we had approximately 25 applicants. The email about not attending the session is for people who couldn't make it to write their essay, so they have to write it before their interview.
  7. daniellemia, Was today (thursday) the last day for the info session?
  8. stdt, Your welcome! :) If you don't mind me asking .. what are your grades like and how many volunteer hours do you have?
  9. stdt, You should call in and ask the health science studies office about why you didn't receive the info letter. I'm pretty sure it's on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. And don't worry I checked my application and it has disappeared as well.
  10. Me too!
  11. Has anyone heard anything about the interview?
  12. Naners, I've heard that if you have more than 100 volunteer hours that's really good. I have around 150..
  13. Me too ! My info session is next Tuesday.
  14. Nope nothing yet. Maybe this upcoming week?
  15. Hahah yes I'm from Abbotsford ! They usually send out a letter mid September for the information session .. that's when you go and write your essay. Last times I received my interview letter a couple days after the information session one, but some applicants receive it after the essay. The interviews take place in October.
  16. I am starting a thread for UFV January 2014 applicants..hoping to get a spot in the winter intake! I was wondering if anyone has re-applied to the BSN program.
  17. Congrats Paraston ! I'm so happy for you :) You deserved it, and you'll make an awesome nurse ! HopefullyI get in for Jan . . .
  18. Thanks Paraston ! I knew i didn't get a seat but after reading my rejection letter it just made me feel sad/mad. I still wished I had gotten a different lady to interview me since I got her twice. My grades were pretty good and I had a lot of volunteer hours. It all came down to the interview...
  19. can someone tell me how to re-apply
  20. It really sucks though because we will be competing with new high school grads for January. I'm so glad that others are thinking about applying again. I got my letter it didn't say anything except that i had got rejected. It didn't say what went wrong or anything However, I have contacted the places I volunteered just in case I had to reapply. Does anyone know if your applying again do you just have to fill out the nursing application only .. or do you have to actually apply again to the university? I'm so confused ! I know I have to send in my volunteer hours, references, first-aid, license, and birth-certificate ... anything else? Like what about high school grades ? i dont even remember what i did when i applied for this program .. feels like forever lol.
  21. If not September.. JANUARY FOR SURE :)
  22. At this point I'm just taking it as a no. Its hard knowing that even though i did everything i could (twice) i got rejected. I hope those of you who didn't get a seat will be applying again. I really think its worth it in the end to wait, UFV is a really good school. And those that got in i would like to congratulate you ! Third times a charm? lol I'm just not going to let this bring me down. September isn't far i remember that's when our essay was for the Jan 2013 intake.I guess its life right.
  23. I just don't believe that we didn't get accepted. What if they changed only a couple peoples status.. like the applicants who were accepted on their first try. Maybe since we are going through the second time they haven't changed our status ? Urgh my mind is going through so many scenarios right now
  24. 169U, is this your first time applying ?
  25. no change for me either ...
