  1. Sorry to hear that sweetf. Best of luck in the job search!
  2. Thanks for sharing the info and congrats on getting the offer even if you don't take it. There are so many factors to consider. I did get the position in the novice nurse program and accepted the offer. It is significantly lower pay than another hospital I interviewed for but as a new grad, I like the idea of going in through a program. Hope I'm making the right choice :)
  3. Hi and congrats on the interview. It's been long enough since you posted this that I hope you have heard back and I hope the news was good. I interviewed there last week and am looking for some of the same info you were. If you got the job, can you tell me what the pay and benefits are like? Thanks!
  4. Sweetf, I interviewed for this program last week and haven't heard anything back yet. Have you? Were you able to find out any further details such as pay?
  5. Hi Lindsay :) Kalbers, if you read thru the thread you can see what everyone's scores are. In a post from the Associate Dean of the program, she mentions that a majority of the applicants were not prepared for admission. I take this as meaning they did not have all the prerequisite coursework completed. Did the school site a reason for denial in your email? Some applicants in this thread got denied with pretty exceptional credentials. 3.2 UG GPA 4.0 Science GPA 93.4 TEAS = 99%
  6. Yay gonzam57! Congrats! What a wait. I am so excited too. I still have not received any other info from the school. Has anyone else?
  7. That is GREAT news! Thanks so much for taking the time to clarify some things for us :)
  8. I would hope to god you get in with those numbers!
  9. Waiting is better than a "declined" message, right? :) Best of luck to all those still waiting!!!! It seems like declined messages went out in a batch yesterday but I have to say the credentials of those declined are very good. Perhaps they had to look more at our individual TEAS scores instead of just the national % rank. I am sure another round of acceptance letters will go out after the 8th.
  10. Wow! Unbelievable! I would think with those scores you would have been accepted! This must have been a REALLY competitive pool of applicants. I am sorry you did not get accepted Don't give up!
  11. And you know what? If FAU doesn't work out...there are plenty of other paths to achieve the same goal :)
  12. I'm glad to hear there has been some clarification on the notifications And am appreciative that I got one. I can only imagine what you all are going through with this wait! KEEP THE FAITH
  13. But like Falmouth said, undergrad gpa doesn't matter supposedly as long as it is 3.0. I am sure many applicants with less than 4.0 science gpa's will be accepted!
  14. 3.2 bachelors gpa. 4.0 science gpa and 99% teas.
  15. I don't think it will change the cost much as tuition is charged by credit hour and all the change will be doing is spreading out the credit hours over a longer period of time.
  16. Please...keep the faith! You all sound like you have great credentials!
  17. Yay! Got mine too. Was an individual message. Can't wait to start!
  18. Every time I get an email my heart skips a beat I think the changes are a great idea!
  19. Also, at the info session we were told that, MOST LIKELY, the class starting in MAY 2013, will be changing so that the traditional program students start in August, the accelerated program will add one additional summer term to lighten the load and they will accept something like 20 more applicants between the 2 programs. It was confirmed via email from the school that these changes will be emailed to us along with our acceptance letters :)
  20. The letter was from the college of nursing. I submitted my NursingCAS application early, September I think. Did you check your spam?
  21. I am by no means the authority on this, but your application and transcripts were in by the 31st so I think you are good.
  22. Copied from FAU Nursing Webpage: • Only applications COMPLETED by December 31 will be reviewed. That is, all components must be received, including transcripts. For example, it is highly unlikely that opening a new application on December 25th would have all necessary transcripts received by December 31 since most academic programs would be on holiday break. Plan ahead! NOTE: Transcripts do not need to be received by Nursing CAS before you submit your application but must be received by the posted deadline. I pray that your transcript does not include any of the classes that are required as part of the prerequisite GPA!
  23. It has to go through Nursing CAS again-especially if it includes coursework toward your nursing prerequisites. All materials were to be submitted by December 31st, though I know FAU is allowing extra time for nursing CAS to process transcripts from last fall's semester. You need to update your application in nursing CAS to reflect your fall term coursework, and submit your transcript to them ASAP if you haven't.
  24. I too emailed staff at the school today and they said they would notify us by email toward the end of February. My guess would be to the email address you supplied to NursingCAS as that is the address I received the email stating they received my application.
