Hello, all, At age 50, following a layoff after 15 years as a bank marketing executive, I decided to become an LPN. I'm now working as one in an assisted living facility. I had been planning to get my RN or BSN, but I've begun to consider earning a Master of Public Administration instead. Does this sound like a good career path, i.e., one where I could get a job and make a difference? I would go to school part time, while continuing to work as an LPN. Would also like to state that I believe the RN courses would have been very difficult for me as someone who is not mathematically or scientifically gifted. (My undergrad degree is in English!) That's another reason that the MPA route is appealing to me. Thanks for your feedback! Cindy M. in NJ
