If a patient requires assistance to stand and pivot to a wheelchair are they considered bed bound and rated at 30% or chairbound and rated at 40%? I have a few patients that are two person asst to wheelchair and I'm not sure how to rate them.

You would think this is self explanatory however, I continue to come back to this same discussion with mgmt who says pt is bedbound if they require assistance out of bed.
Would you consider a patient that cannot transfer out of bed on their own to be bedfast? For example if they required assistance transferring to a chair.
