It is an old post, but I am just now applying to tge program. Life blessed us with another beautiful babay girl, so things were on hold for a bit! I would love a shot at Methodist Willowbrooks new grad program after passing nclex, and they do require BSN. Im just ready to start, so if it takes me going rn-bsn route and having to gain experience before getting into the hospital i prefer, im ok with it! The hesi... i am kind of stressing... who wouldnt right?! The Montgomery Lone Star campus is doing a 1 time hesi review for a&p, i will be there! My main stressors are math, and grammer... i can write a dang good paper, and grammer used to be my favorite subject, but somewhere along my journey i have managed to forget what things are... except a noun lol! Hopefully the tools i am using will help refresh my memory in time! Thanks for your time, and tips!!!

Hello! My name is Nikki! I am going to be applying to the Montgomery campus! This was a last minute decision... i was focused on sams bsn program, but decided to apply to lone star first. I am ready to start!!! I still have 2 pre reqs for the bsn program or itd be my priority. I have gotten all if my titers for hep b, mmr, and varicella, and i am immune to all. I have also been able to obtain my shot records from 20 years ago showing proof of the hep b vaccine. A huge weight off there! I am currently studying for the HESI... it will be my first time taking it, and the only for this app period. Does anybody have any good study tips?! I am already using the pocket prep app and the hesi review assesment book, and will be attending the a&p review session at the Montgomery campus later this month! I apologize if this question has already been asked... im having a hard time viewing everything on this board, and if i dont ask now while im thinking about it... i will forget until some random time! ������MOMLIFE! Lol

I am currently taking my pre req's towards BSN, and I am doing well. I have all A's with the exception of A&P and College Algebra. Intro to Chem and Statistics is all I have left after this summer. I am somewhat confident that I have a good chance of getting accepted to my desired BSN program. However, just incase the applicant pool is totally amazing and blows me out of the water, what are your thoughts on applying to Lone Star Montgomery's ADN program as backup? What would my chances be to land a job after graduation? (In the woodlands/tomball/cypress areas) I would most definitely enroll in an RN-BSN program as soon as I could (UT early acceptance would be my pick). I just don't want to be stuck without a job after school since I know some hospitals in the area are only hiring BSN's. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I will be taking my last semester of Pre Req's for BSN, I have all A's with the exception of a B in A&P 2 (ended up with pre eclampsia and was put on moderate bed rest). I have a few questions, hopefully the answers will help me decide which program I apply to. Before I start with my questions, I will go ahead and get my information out of the way... I currently live in Magnolia, I have a 2 year old that will be 3-4 years old when I start nursing school, and a wonderful husband that works away from home for 30 days at a time. I know nursing school is very demanding, tough and can be enjoyable! I am fully committed to giving 100% and doing everything I possibly can to get the best out of nursing school and being the best I can be! Now with my questions... UT Health is my dream school. I am trying to think realistically here... Would I be setting myself up for failure applying to their program? Considering the daily commute and making sure I have someone to care for my daughter if she cannot attend childcare due to illness while my husband is at work, on top of study time and clinicals. Are there any current UT Health students or alumni that can give me an example of what their schedules included? Or maybe someone that has been in a similar situation? About Sam Houston's Woodlands campus nursing program... To current stundents and alunmi... How is it? I know there are going to be kinks in all programs but is it somewhat organized? Do you feel you are getting a lot from the program? I know you get what you put in (in most situations), but there are some programs that are absolutely unorganized and most of the students enrolled are miserable. I know my life outside of school is going to be slim pickins but i want to make sure that I am getting a great education and experience since I will be missing out on so much in my home life.
