I was waitlisted for January 2013 intake and there was roughly 60+ people on it. I believe people who are at the top of the waitlist are notified. At this point, they have the opportunity to defer and guarantee themselves a spot for January 2014 or wait to see if a seat opens for August 2013. As far as I know, if you are accepted in one intake you can defer to the next. However, since the prereqs change for January I am not sure.

Simburger, I would take the summer off and take a breather before you start in August, but that's me :) I feel your pain! I've been going every semester last few years. I'm also planning to take summer off no matter what happens for August.
