  1. I heard from Natalie today that we will be receiving our full admission packets with all details in the mail after the December 1st deposit deadline. They want to wait until they have the full cohort and will mail them all out at once. So we should receive in about 2 weeks or so.
  2. If I were you, I would get a car. The transportation in that area isn't as convenient as it is in the downtown area of Chicago. Also, I believe our clinicals will be scheduled all over the city and we are responsible for getting there. You will definitely need a car for that, unless you can carpool with a classmate who lives near by and has the same clinical schedule.
  3. Congrats to both of you! So glad everyone got good news. I have a three and a half year old son. So glad there will be some other mothers in the program.
  4. Got my acceptance today! Like others, I found out through the website. For those of you still waiting, when you log on to the website, immediately under the first paragraph starting, "Thank you for submitting your application..." there is the following text highlighted in the color yellow: [h=3]Status Update[/h]An update to your application was last posted November 8, 2012. View Update>> Good luck to those still waiting. I hope to see you all at orientation on the 7th!
  5. I gave up on contacting my assigned admissions counselor, she never responded. I just contacted the general admissions office. One person told me we would know by Thanksgiving (2 weeks from now) and the other was more generic and said we should hear something "shortly".
  6. Congrats on your acceptance! Sounds like the spring deferred admissions applicants are hearing first. Hopefully the rest of us will hear soon!
  7. Finally! That's so great to hear. Hopefully we all hear this week or the next. My application was complete in late August. I have an orientation scheduled for Resurrection on the 13th. I was really hoping to hear from Loyola before then before I get too far down the path with Resurrection. Good luck to everyone!
  8. I know, I thought the same thing. It is going to be a stressful December! I'm hoping they were being conservative with the decision timeline so as to avoid over-promising or repeated phone calls checking on the status. I was thinking it would be any day now. Now I'm not going to start holding my breath until it gets closer to Thanksgiving.
  9. Talked to the admissions office today and they said they just began reviewing applications this week. We won't know anything for another 4-6 weeks, they said hopefully before Thanksgiving. I guess the waiting game continues...
  10. Has anyone heard any updates on when admission decisions for spring 2013 will go out?
  11. I heard that last year people heard back around 10/18-10/22. Maybe we'll hear something next week!
  12. Hello- Anyone else applied to Loyola's ABSN program for Spring 2013? Has anyone been accepted yet? Any current or former students that can shed some light on what is needed to get accepted (GPA, etc.)? I already was accepted to Resurrection and Lewis' programs for the Spring, but am still waiting to hear from Loyola. Fingers crossed!
