OK, got the letter today. I was really worried about my lack of nursing experience (5 months) hurting my application. I think it was the e-mail last week that caused a lot of my anxiety-- something about the "highly competitive applicant pool" statement that got me. Anyway, congrats to those that have been accepted and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for those of you still waiting!

Same here >=93 for an A at University of Oklahoma. At the time I applied, I had been a Psych RN on a forensic unit for a couple of months. I'm an ACT team nurse now. I'm hoping my overall gpa and lack of experience didn't hurt me too much. Keeping my fingers crossed.

RNUS are you in the DNP program? If you don't mind me asking what are your stats? I applied for the psych DNP program.

Still nothing. I was hoping today since I'm at Ft. Benning, GA which is just a few hours from the school. E-mailed the advisor, she said I should have something by the end of the week.

Karinnmt, any idea when theymight send out the letters?

I spoke with an admissions counselor and was told above a 3.0. She said that the school admitted someone with a 2.7 overall gpa because he had a 3.7 nursing gpa. I only have a 3.39 but my nursing is a 3.93 from an ABSN program (had a 3.1 gpa BS in computer science). I'm worried as well because the counselor said they don't always factor in the overall gpa. I'm keeping my fingers crossed at this point. I was a little disappointed when I received the email about the delayed decision letters.

I applied for the BSN-DNP Psych NP program for Spring 2013. I'm eagerly awaiting a decision letter as well. It's torture having to wait. I hope that they send out letters according to their planned timeline. =)
