  1. I think all Advanced Practice Nursing degrees will eventually be entry level DNP in the next few years. I attended South Alabama and received my BS'N there and JUST sent in my application for the DNP program which is all online! I think with graduate school the tuition is the same whether in state or out of state...because the program is all online...I think...could be wrong.. @sycamorestudent
  2. I would look on the DOH website under Application instructions. I remember reading something about a temporary license. I also went to the DOH and dropped off my app instead of mailing it in. I did this Oct 1st and got my license Oct 12th. I think it makes a difference going up there. Hope this helps!

  11. Thanks!! I emailed friday night thanking everyone for interviewing me! I just feel that with the info they gave (salary, orientation schedule, etc.), that I definitely got the position!!! But thanks! I surely will do so! My recruiter said Wednesday at the latest! And I really hope so! So I have been waiting! :) Thank you again! And hope to see you then as well! :)
  12. Hey! how long after the interview did you get a job offer via email? I interviewed last Friday and was wondering how long it would take to hear back! Thanks! :)
  13. I applied on friday the 14th and got a call on Wednesday the 19th for an interview...I guess it just depends on the amount of apps they have! The interview was last Friday the 21st. My recruiter was Britney, and I met the Director and Asst director along with 2 nurses on the unit that day! It went well! Praying that I get an offer this week! :) Hope you all get a phone call! Praying for you as well! :)
  14. I have applied for this position since April...once i finally moved to the area I tried again and my last time was last Friday...I got the same email i always received that Saturday and responded better than I had before. Wednesday i got a call, and I had an interview today. I guess it depends on who is pulling the application. The person who emailed me and asked the questions was a nurse recruiter but not the same one I spoke with and saw today. I would email again if I were you. Just so you know. :)
  15. Stroke/Medicine! waiting for an offer after today's interview!
  16. I finished my interview today for the October 2012 residency program! I applied last Friday and got a call Wednesday, interview today! Hope all goes well and I hear something soon! If so...i'll see you guys/gals in October :)! *pray for me* :)
  17. I also applied for the RN residency program in October 2012 and had an interview today! I think it went well, but am waiting for a job offer via email or phone call from my nurse recruiter sometime next week! I think I have it in the bag! :) *praying* :)
  18. I passed the NCLEX Jan 2012 and decided to move to the East coast with my family. Once I moved in June, I applied for so many jobs and finally after one last attempt to a hospital in DC, received a call Wednesday and had my first interview today at 12!! *Excitement* I met with the Nurse Recruiter, Director and Asst Director of the Nursing unit I asked to be on. Interview went well!!! I feel really good about it! I received benefits info as well as salary and an overview of the job description and Residency program as if I already got the job! I was also told to bring in transcripts and recommendation letters and if I didn't have them, to just bring them BACK later?!? So...does this all mean that I have the job? The nurse recruiter told me that the Director will let her know and she will let me know, but after being given all this info...wouldn't it seem like I already have the job? I made sure I followed up this evening with an email thanking each for their time and patience. Hmmm..also follow up question...How long does it take to be endorsed in DC?? Thanks!
