I am a Freshman at Georgia Military College and is planning to obtain my Associate's in Nursing and going either into a Direct Entry Program for Midwifery or going to another university to get my license in Midwifery. I would absolutely love a mentor who is specifically a CNM that I can talk with throughout this journey of becoming a CNM myself! Im a freshman up @ GSW and i didnt have a great first year either! ugh i was working and studying hell i was studying @ work! and my gpa is a freaking 1.84 :'( i know nursing is a hard field to get into but i want it soooo bad! then @ that i want my masters in nursing. my own practice. everything. i just learned my lesson off having to buckle down more and take full throttle advantage of my tutoring for ANYTHING im having trouble with. Its going to be hard but like you said with us wanting it soo bad we going to get it even if it takes one or two extra years...its alright obviously you dont need to be bummed seeing my gpa and this is off my first semester my second is almost through im praying i do better this semester... :)

Thanks so much guys! I will keeo faith and watch my schedule more closely....and take full advantage of my tutoring specially for biology! Lol

Ok I'm a Pre-Nursing Major right now @Georgia Southwestern State University and I'm just about done with my second semester. I did really bad last semester and in the classes I desperately need to get into the nursing program. Although I have got the GAP (guaranteed acceptance program) I would love to be on track with my grades...Please anybody please help me majorly on studying and balancing it with working. (because I also have a job) I have finals coming up soon in my Biology Lec. and Lab Classes so Studying techniques, future reference advise would be so helpful. I'm so discouraged off of my grades of my first year in college but at the same time I'm highly determined to get my BSN at least by 2017...Please help anything is available to me. Thank You Guys

We don't have an alumini base here but as a pre-nursing student right now we are assigned advisors to watch over use throughout our whole school year. It's an great advantage though I love them!
