  1. Sorry, been terrible busy. :) Things are fantastic. Second semester freshman now. All pre-reqs should be completed before getting in. Makes life a little easier. 3+1 program is at Salve. Basically taking all our classes there in Warwick offsite campus. I applied and the next day I dropped off my CPR card...and found out I was accepted right then and there. One of the best moments ever. Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
  2. Thank you! This is the first year, they're still working out the kinks. Finally bought books and ordered uniforms. Now enjoying the last month of freedom.
  3. So what are the thoughts about the 3+1 BSN program?
  4. Thank you! I've been waiting patiently to get my hands on that orientation packet. :)
  5. Supposedly tomorrow phone calls go out about orientation date.
  6. Congratulations! So happy I fould some people. lol Thank you so much for all your information! I greatly appreciated it! Makes me feel a lot better. I finally got word today about financial aid, no word yet about orientation. I do know they need a copy of my CPR card and insurance. What books do you use? Also do you only use the "nursing bible" for nursing 100?
  7. Thank you for replying! I'm looking for any information you can give. Days, times, dosage testing, my first year, best way to study...reading, PowerPoint...what worked, what didn't. Is working okay while in school. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
  8. Today with the tragic events, I thank God I'll be a nurse one day. My heart longs to help people. Determination will get me there.
  9. I would apply everywhere...not put all your eggs in one basket. I personally applied twice, had a higher GPA. Never got in. August @ CCRI, Lincoln NETI has a nursing class that starts in July.
  10. Someone on CCRI nursing FB page posted some reading for 1010.
  11. Is anyone else going to St. Joes this fall or anyone have any information about the program, what worked, what didn't?
  12. Thank you! My friends said last year CCRI automatically registered them. I would double check just incase they changed things.
  13. Thank you! I enjoyed all your post! Your going to make it more bearable for all those you'll be with on your journey! Good luck to us all! :)
  14. I was officially accepted to St. Joseph School of Nursing! Chasing dreams!
  15. Jazzy, how did you make out today?
  16. Someone last application period had to chase their e-mail down. Anything is possible.
  17. Jazzy, everyone heard on here acceptance or denied. Call someone in the nursing admission office of the campus you applied to.
  18. Don't give up. Don't listen to him. My bf never went to college and hasn't been in my shoes. He truly has no business telling me I shouldn't cry, or even be upset. I've been through a lot during this process. I've had every door close in my face. Something always is waiting in my way. It's almost like higher forces are saying hell no. My friends even tell me I've been dealt the wrong card. Most people would've given up by now. But I'll keep fighting for what's in my heart. I can't picture myself doing anything else nor do I want to. Keep trying. I'm sure you feel the same way. Your program only has 15 seats, once a year. I'll pray you get your golden ticket. Allow no one in your head of what you desire.

  20. Taylor fundamentals of nursing 7th edition. It does come in a bundle at school, but if you rely on F-aid. You won't get your books until a week or 2 before...I would want to read the whole book all summer long sitting at the beach. Dosage also. Study that all summer long. You'll want to pass that first test and not worry about it until 1020.
  21. Thank you! Start ordering Taylor and start reading, like now. :) Oh and enjoy your time off, 2 years of crazy ahead of you all! Good luck to all!
  22. Congratulations to everyone who received their golden ticket! To the everyone who was denied, keep your dreams going. It hurts more now then before. Maybe because my stupid boyfriend wasn't very sorry. Told me to suck it up and move on. I really only needed...I'm sorry. Nothing else. Feel like I let my parents down. They help so much with the children, but I think because now I know CCRI won't except my 3.20 gpa and 115 points. So it will take me longer. Time to cut my strings with them. St.Joe's has my application and fees as of tomorrow. Go to RIC and see if there's truth behind BSN in 3 yrs with all these classes under my belt. Finally NETI. This year I'll make it happen.
