  1. Anyone using Paragon? Please share your likes and dislikes. We are just starting the build process for an August "go-live." How did you build your case cards? How do you chart meds? What works? What doesn't?
  2. We are on our third EMR rendition since 2004. My facility started with Cerner, moved to McKesson Health Sync, and is now transitioning to Paragon. Those of you familiar with Paragon - Can you offer any suggestions about how to set up assessments in CCS? How many Service Departments do you have built? Do you have the inpatient units perform the Admission Assessment for surgical patients vs. the Pre-Surgery department? What works for you? What doesn't? Any suggestions in the build that you wished you had done differently? Thanks for your time, Julie
  3. We are moving toward the implementation of Pre-op Chlorhexidine bath wipes for total joint patients. The current proposal by management is to have the RN perform this 7-wipe bath for the patient. My question is are you aware of other facilities using this wipe and if so, does the patient perform the bath or the RN? I personally feel that if the patient is alert and oriented and of able body, they can perform the bath themselves following appropriate instruction. I think insisting the nurse perform the bath takes control away from the patient when they are already anxious and feeling loss of control in the pre-operative setting. I welcome your thoughts. Thanks!
