  1. I just passed the exam, but I still don't have my license yet, I do have only 3months of experience, but it's not enough because most hospitals here in Minnesota needed at least 1 year of experience, we're on the same situation right now too. I hope we can land a job pretty soon! My plan is to volunteer and get experience and.certificates if they accept that here I guess that'll be the only solution.
  2. Wow 75 questions only. Nice! The computer didn't doubt on ya. 5k questions? Thats a lot. Hehe. Well we did it. Congrats!
  3. Thanks kabayan! Good luck
  4. Wow SATA questions were my weaknesses too. Good job on the nclex! High five!
  5. I just wanted to share my road to success with the NCLEX-RN. I started to prepare for the exam two years ago, but two years ago there was no pressure, because I haven't processed with the papers yet, I just read the Saunders Comprehensive 5th edition but I didn't finish it, only about 70% of the book. Not until 3 months ago, where I knew about my exam date. I subscribed to the Learning Ext by NCSCN first for 5 weeks. I studied about 3 hours per day and if there was a new info I learned, I wrote it down to my notebook, but they say writing down in notes can make your brain learn it easily, without reading it again, so that's what I did. I didn't read the notes I wrote down. So after about 3 months, to be specific two weeks before the exam, I did the KAPLAN qbank, I finished everything I got 55% only, they say you should have 60% or more to pass the exam, so I was kinda worried. And I bought Lacharity's PDA, and I did all the practice questions except for the case studies part. And I thought it was okay, my score was about 48-60%. I also did all categories in the Saunders 5th edition comprehensive CD, with a score about 50-65%. I did a 100 questions per day for my last two weeks before the exam, after the exam I played Warcraft DOTA and counterstrike, I also check my facebook, youtube, and other accounts as well. And also I exercise everyday regularly. Just make sure eat healthy foods, and then most importantly PRAY,everyday!! I forgot to mention, love what you do, love your family, and love NURSING. Don't deprive yourself, and be positive. On the nclex-rn, I had about 128 items, had 10 SATAs, 3 ordered response, 3 calculations, and about 10 meds. It wasn't really easy! And so two days after the exam I knew about the results, I didn't have the best two days of my life, I was really anxious, depressed, and sad. But my wife helped me to be calm. She is my inspiration and my family in the Philippines. I was kinda expected it because I tried the Pearson vue trick, and there was the good pop-up. But I didn't believe that not until there's an official announcement. And so, in the BON website,in my account it says "passed". Time to job hunt! Thanks for reading!
  6. Congrats to you! You did a great job on your NCLEX, you're post is so inspiring, Thank you for that positivity. I should study hard now. :-)
