  1. Hello, I'm a pre-nursing student, and I have a few questions for anyone working in the nursing field. I don't know any nurses personally, so I'm having some trouble getting a clear idea of whether I'm choosing the right field for me. If you have a minute to spare, I would love to hear what you have to say--as little or as much as you want. I've read a lot of helpful, pertinent articles and threads on here, so please excuse me if you find this to be redundant. Many, many thanks to anyone who takes the time to consider these questions. 1) What led you to choose nursing as your profession? 2) What are the positives and negatives of working as a nurse? 3) How long have you been a nurse? What changes in the profession, if any, have you observed? 4) What is your educational background? 5) What would you be doing if not nursing?* *Alternate Question: What have been the top 3 (by any standard you like) experiences/highlights of your nursing career? Thank you again and I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! -CBru
