The Nursing department is it's "own little world." It's whatever the department department says about the time frame and not the admissions office. They just collect the applications.

I will be re-applying. I'm a former student.

Those selected, should receive notification by email sometime with in the next few weeks. Those that were not selected will receive a letter stating that. There will be a informational meeting for those selected that takes place sometime before beginning of the semester to give them a packet of info about things needed for the program such as supplies, uniforms, background investigation and drug testing. Today begins the last full week of April. Is this the week? Hmm... I guess only time will tell. I think it would make sense to start notifying today since it's the beginning of the week but who knows. 😊 I'll be watching my email all day long. Good luck everyone!!!

Eek! This is the LAST full week of April. I think the emails will go out this week. What about you guys? That makes sense in my head. 😊 My prayer will be for great news for us all this week. PLEASE POST IMMEDIATELY when you get your email of acceptance. That way we all know to check ours that day. They send them out on the same day so it's about a 2-3 day notification period I think. I know I'll be watching mine like a hawk today. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I just called the Nursing department. The committee hasn't met yet and it hasn't been scheduled. We should expect to receive information somethime during the month of April. Soooo... It could be as much as 5 more weeks or as little as 1. A lot of help. Huh?

The wait is awful! I'm trying not to think about it.

Take AP2 in the Summer but I recommend Micro for Fall. My Micro class covered A LOT of material for the regular semester and Summer is only for weeks. For example, the first two exams covered 5 chapters and the last two exams "eased up" & covered 4 chapters each. I can't imagine 5 chapters being covered and tested in only a week. My professor felt it really needed to be split into two courses.

I hand delivered my application to the Union campus today. So the wait now begins. I was looking at a previous board. It looks like a decision may not be made until April. I'm going to try and forget about it until after Spring Break. I sure hope I have better luck this time. We shall see.

Hi there! I've started a thread for the Fall. (Southwest TN CC Fall 2015) I applied for Spring with all B's in the prereqs and a 132 on NLN. I missed it by less than 2 index points. Each term, your chances depend on the applicant pool.

It was professional. The hypothetical comments are most likely realistic as the professor has probably seen it happen before.

Now that the selection has been made for the Spring 2015 class, I thought we might as well start looking to the future. I applied for the the first time for the Spring but wasn't accepted. I wasn't all that optimistic after reading some of the index scores but was hoping. I sure do hope that there is a lot of truth to the idea that it's a lot more competitive for the Spring than the Fall. Let's see where you stand... 1) Have you applied before? If so, how many times? 2) what is your index score as of now?
