  1. Hello, I am currently beginning my nursing prerequisites and am positive that I can mentally handle anything nursing school can throw at me. I am very well-versed in coping with stress, mutitasking, all of the above. My only concern is I have very painful bone spurs and cannot stand up for extended periods of time, 3-4 hours straight with breaks in between maybe but I cannot go 12 straight hours standing. It is excruciating when I try, my feet and legs swell...it is a bad time. Would I be able to meet the physical demands of this job? Also, what kinds of desk jobs are there for nurses, I would be more inclined towards that as opposed bedside.
