  1. I am a floor nurse planning to go to the ER. And its the people who place the patients in the rooms that cause the problem. There have been many times were I am called and told I'm getting report and was never told by anyone. And I also know that in the ER based o the patient's condition they are trying to be kept alive so I don't bother with certain questions. But the whole system needs to be fixed. No one communicates and it messes up the whole shift for both parties.
  2. Thanks for this, I graduate in May and I am so scared of not doing well. I don't have the money for the prep classes, but just like you I want to make sure that I'm ready. To me getting good scores on all the different prep tests tells me I know the info and will pass. so thank you again for this. I feel much better hearing someone who just graduated has great tips and congrats.
  3. I have to take med Surg over also and this time im taking a new teacher and doing what I didn't do before. In regards to the internships, it might be hard to find one in nursing that is not GPA based. For the issues you are having about taking a semester off, do what you feel is right. I you know now you will not be fully able to be a alert student, then take a break like you did get you an your house in order and come back. That will give you time to work on whatever issues you have with some classes and not be on a time line. At the end of the day, the only worry you should have is to graduate, not bills or not feeling well. It may take time, but if your not right you can't help others get better. Hope things workout for you
  4. My school requires we pass ATI with a level two or we fail the class. The practice questions have nothing to do with the actual final exam. All I can say is read your entire textbook and the entire ATI book. For me with psych things that were on the final were not in the ATI book but in my textbook. Many of the material is wrong, so just know what they consider right and just forget it after. Before you take the boards do a review with Kaplan because just ATI alone may not be enough.
