  1. The recruiter I spoke with today said they aim to give you a 25% raise over what you currently make once you sign with Sidra, not sure if that includes living expenses. My interview is tomorrow, anyone know anybody that is working over there and how they like it? Seems like it would be a good change of pace for a year or two to make tax free $$ and pay off student loans...finally.

I've been an ED / flight nurse for 7 years but currently am a slave to the high wages in San Francisco. I live in Denver and fly back n forth for a 6-on, 8-off schedule. I'm looking to settle down in Denver full- time and am considering going back to school. Anybody have any advice as far as what type of jobs are out there for someone with an MBA and a BSN? I'm also considering going back to get my MSN emphasizing in informatics. Anybody working in informatics have anything to share about likes / dislikes?
  3. Thanks gatornurse2, I've been in contact with my admissions counselor quite a bit, I'm thinking my lack of ICU experience might slide me down the list. How much lead time did they give you when you got the invite for the interview? I've heard the interviews are pretty laid back, more of a meet and greet for people they've already decided on. Did you get that feeling?
  4. I've applied for the 2014 class, actually had my application done in November, but am still waiting to hear about an interview. Did you guys who have already been accepted get any idea if everyone so far has ICU experience? I have 6 years ED / Trauma and flight experience as well as my CCRN, but no ICU so I'm starting to get a little anxious...
  5. I've submitted my application for the Jan 2014 start and am waiting to hear back, I've been reading all the good posts, especially about Orlando. I was planning on that being my first choice as I have family in Melbourne. I have 5 years of high acuity ED experience in San Francisco as well as a stint of rotor wing flight experience with successful intubations. Have any of you already in the program had classmates without ICU experience?
