  1. I graduated from nursing school in May and started my first job at a pediatric hospital 4 weeks ago. I absolutely love pediatrics, but I have never worked with children that are this sick. I did not have a a pediatric clinical in nursing school. I am comfortable interacting with children but I feel extremely anxious with assessments. What if I miss something? If one of my kids "go bad" will I know what to do? I am nervous everyday and starting to second guess my decision to work in peds? Are these normal feelings for a new grad and how long will it take before I am confident? I hear the other nurses talking and I feel like and idiot. Are there any Pediatric nurses out there who can give me some advice?
