  1. Thanks for the reply, RNNelson! :) I was reading other boards too and saw that many others were applying to the Methodist partnership program, it sounds like a wonderful opportunity that I will look into! I honestly don't know HOW you do it with two kids...! The new point system for NLC/EL Centro also favors me as already have my bachelor's degree, but the negative comments are a little bit unsettling. May I ask what you've heard that has been the least positive for you? I'm afraid of the teachers and failing out of the classes once I actually get in :/ I know I'm getting ahead of myself as I'm not even applying until February, but still!!
  2. I've been lurking this board for a while (I am looking to apply for Fall 2013) and I just wanted to say good luck to everyone! Your posts have been very helpful and I hope you'll continue to keep us updated in the future, too :)
  3. Any of you guys still active on this thread? I would love to hear about your experiences! OP looks like you ended up going to El Centro and not liking it?
  4. I did a quick search but I couldn't find a thread for people preparing for Fall 2013 nursing. I've been reading that Spring 2013 students are aiming for about a 23 on the new points system. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will have at least that with a transcript evaluation. Anyway, I would LOVE to hear stories about how others are liking/liked the El Centro/NLC program. I am hearing mixed reviews I've been reading a lot about the Magnet Hospital hype and how an ADN will not suffice to get a job soon after licensing (I plan on getting a job and having the hospital do tuition reimbursement for my UTA pathway program to BSN). Any tips, advice, or just a hello would be appreciated!
