Dear All, I submitted applications to Lone Star College System (Kingwwod and Cyfair) for the Spring 2013 ADN Program and I wish to share information with anybody that has either gone through or is going through the process. My GPA is about 11.75 and I was told the cut off for Kingwood last year was 11.40. Rumor has it that Cyfair requires a higher GPA. Does any body know last year's cut off GPA for Cyfair? When I submitted my application I was told to wait for 4-6 weeks. Does any one know what is going on with our applications? Is it true it takes so long to get results of applications? I have also been told that Lone Star Campuses process applications together and that it is the reason we were told to deliver hard copies of the applications only to the campus of 1st choice. I even applied for the LVN Program at Tomball in there was a problem with any of my ADN choices. My GPA is 11.75 and like somebody mentioned above, last year's cut off GPA for Kingwood I was told was about 11.4. For some reason Cyfair seems to require a higher GPA than that while North Harris takes the lowest GPA because it has the largest intake (Fall). From what I have heard, any body with a GPA over 11.5 stands a good chance of admission to Kingwood. I wonder about Cyfair. When I submitted copies of my application package I was told to wait for 4-6 before getting a reply. Does any one know anything else going on since submission of applications? Any information about when we might be informed of the results? Does anybody know last year's cut off GPA for Cyfair? Dear All, I have been preparing for the ADN Program for San Jacinto Community (Houston, TX). I have completed a number of pre-requisites but I will not be ready for the Fall Application deadline to be able to enter the Program in Spring 2013. I have decided to start with the LVN Program, after which I will go for the ADN Program. Kindly help with the following questions: 1. Do all San Jacinto Campuses; Central, North & South offer the LVN program in the Spring? 2. What are the prerequisites for the San Jacinto LVN if any? 3. What does the HESI Test for LVN covers in terms of subjects? 4. What is the application period for LVN if you need admission in Spring (2013?) 5. How is San Jacinto Hesi Test graded and what has been the the cut off point for admission? Thanks so much.
