  1. that's nice man. How are you liking it so far?
  2. Congratulations lovecoffee!!!!! It must be so exciting for you.
  3. Lol, its funny u mentioned that. It was actually what I was attracted to the most bout the program I'm in.
  4. Thank you everyone for your input. You guys shed a lot of light for me. I was curious on the matter since the school I'm in now offers a masters degree in biological sciences.
  5. Are there advantages/disadvantages to these different degrees?
  6. Ok icy, thanks for sharing that
  7. Icysagenurse, are they really tough on credit score? How about a co-signer? I've heard some ppl comment on here about having problems event with an excellent co-signer.
  8. Hi missnurse, my program is entirely front loaded the first year. And you r right about needing a loan for living expenses n some clinical fees. Detroitdano, my program began this past may. And I did get a summer loan as well. So far, Ive been able to work 1-2 twelve-hour shifts per week. So I've been banking that income and trying to stretch every dollar as far as it'll allow. I fear I may run in to problems next year borrowing since its gonna b based on credit score
  9. For a front loaded program, isn't the only option private loans after the first year? I was told I couldn't qualify for federal loans since I wasn't "technically" a full time student.
  10. Wow sth90. That is really impressive. With that kind of focus, it will b hard to not get in. There's nothing impossible if u put ur mind to it. Best wishes in your endeavours.
  11. Yes, ICUjjp I did receive a blue form
  12. I got the same letter as well but I'm already starting at another school this way. I really liked the program at Scranton tho. Based on what I saw at the interview. Anybody knows what the CH stands for?
  13. Something strange is going on over there. I've been this same story for some time now. Hopefully they straighten things out
  14. I have no idea what happened over there. I was told I would get a response by January and that has long come and gone. When I called, I didn't really get a reason for the hold up.
  15. Ccsusrna, thank u for the insight. It was well received.
  16. Thx as well srna. Much appreciated. It has been quite the journey getting to this point. I finally got the fafsa going thru. My question is for the clinical part of the program. Will we b paying tuition during clinical? If not, can we still apply to fafsa for unsubsidized student loans or do we have to go by other means to pay our cost of living? I had to short sale my house n afraid my credit may cause problems if I have to apply for private loans.
  17. For those of u familiar with these kind of debts, what do the monthly payments come out to be?
  18. Scotland? Wow, that's a big trip!!! If it can b done, I wish u guys all the best.
  19. Yea, missnurse. I lucked out. How's ur schedule gonna b?
  20. Hey missnurse, Yea the first year ure in class. U start clinical the following year. But yea if I can help with tips or whatever, I will. When u start, ill b on break. I have most of the month of august off.
  21. Lol, yea its gonna b a different life for us. But I'm looking forward to it....where u coming from by the way? I'm from Massachusetts.
  22. Hey Vic, COA stands for cost of attendance. And hey that's awesome we're gonna be roomates. Looking forward to it. NO PARTIES!!!!!! lol. Anyways, i'll keep you updated as i get more info on the fafsa. As for now still waiting. I got in all my health form paperwork to them. And i'm suppose to get this letter from ccsu grad school for acceptance at their university and steps to set up an account with them and all. I was told once i'm able to set up the accound and the fafsa thing is all set, i can see how much i qualify for and manage alot of the financial stuff on there.
