  1. I tried to PM you and it said you needed to clear some space in your inbox :)
  2. Chemistry has been a bit frustrating. I'm on module 8 so far. It is very difficult to understand some of the accents so I end up taking a lot longer to get through them because I have to keep replaying. I have not started the physiology one yet. I'm going to look into Dr Najeeb lectures as well and use those along w/Dr Costanzo's Board Review Series Physiology book. She teaches some of the class and the book was highly recommended by my friend who just finished their first semester. My friend's only advice was not to bother preparing too much and soak up as much time enjoying your family as possible. She didn't prepare other than the prep courses and she got a B in Phys.
  3. I'm doing great. I've been working on the Chemistry Prep course. I'm trying to decide what, if anything, I should do to try to prep for Physiology. Is anyone doing anything? I'm already having nightmares about that class...Ha! Luckily I don't have to move.
  4. Does anyone know how much the grad plus loans are? I know you can get 20,500 a year and that will cover tuition including summer semesters. We are going to need some $$ for living expenses too. Also, does anyone know anything about if they offer a healthcare plan? We are going to need to purchase private health insurance once I quit my job.
  5. We have four seasons. Get some snow occasionally but not always and rarely a lot of snow. The only thing I hear people complain about if humidity and allergies. We are in a valley so allergies can be bad here. I love it bc its beautiful here. It is just busy enough to have stuff to do around town but not so busy where traffic is an issue. I think the school systems are great too.
  6. I'm going to private message you.
  7. Parking in Roanoke is a breeze. They have a lot and its about a min walk. Traffic won't be bad either. I loooooovvve living in Roanoke :) the higher education building where classes are is very nice too. Let me know if you need any help :)
  8. I sent a letter back. I have not received anything other than the letter from the dept of anesthesia yet.
  9. I'm very worried about $$! It is my main concern. I've worked since I was 16 years old! We've been on Dave Ramsey's plan and the thought of debt scares me but I know it is for the greater good. Part of me wants to start working tons of overtime to save up extra money but the other part of me wants to enjoy my family and friends while I still have free time.
  10. Hi! Roanoke, VA campus here :) I'm so excited and scared all at the same time!
  11. I got in!!! Roanoke campus :)
  12. Do you guys think the school is closed all week for Thanksgiving? I guess we won't find out this week either?
  13. Whew...glad that is over with. I'm so impressed with vcu's program. My interview was with people applying to the Roanoke and Abbington campus. Everyone was very nice. They said they have interviews again today for the distance sites and then they are meeting next week to start making some decisions. Good luck everyone :)
  14. Now you guys have me worried bc they didn't schedule my interview until they had my gre scores. Of course, I think they do the interviews for the Roanoke campus last anyway. I shadowed again the other day and it was so much fun! I really hope they like me.
