Congrats to everyone! I got two emails- waitlisted for both campuses. Keeping my fingers crossed that someone drops or switches (none of you on here of course), so I can get in...

@laurenmalauren I don't think showing your emotions in that situation will compromise your score. That is a very serious, intense experience and if anything, it shows that you are a compassionate individual and most of all, a human being. Furthermore, it will show that you can genuinely empathize with others dealing with tough situations. I can't even imagine what that would be like to endure. My heart goes out to you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yes the interviewers were different for every group. The 10 am interviews had five groups of 5-6 students, and 3 interviewers, so that makes approx 15 interviewers (at least). We were not so much graded on our specific answers to the questions but rather how we responded, carried ourselves, presentation... etc. I have heard this through multiple sources. For those of you who keep posting questions on here (although we all love to help each other out) I strongly encourage you to attend an information session. It will help you gain a lot of perspective and understanding on UCF's nursing programs. The dates and times are posted on UCF's CON website. As always, best of luck to everyone!

The interviews are combined for both campuses (72 seats total, 36 each campus). You will be eligible for whichever campus you selected. If you selected one campus only, you will only be considered for that campus (I believe). If you selected both you will be considered for both, which is more beneficial because if they decide they don't want you at cocoa, you are still considered/eligible for Daytona & vice versa. The emails did not specify which campus because they will not decide until after interviews.

I put both on my application.

Those that were selected for interview are at least qualified for the waitpool (pending background check). They've already sent the "denied" emails.

@mc0323: That's what he said in the information session, I'm sure it's very close to 144, if not exact. Plus that would make sense to have 36 spots at each campus plus 36 spots in the waitpool at each campus.

Okay Ladies and Gentlemen: I was able to get more information on the interview/entire application process via an information session. If anyone has not been to one of these, I suggest finding one and attending because they have changed the application requirements for all the future applications (not ours, we were judged based on old requirements) and you will really gain some insight as to just how competitive this program is and why. Here's the information about the interviews: Approx. 300 applicants applied for Cocoa & Daytona campuses (combined) Of those 300, only approx 163 were even eligible to apply to the program. Of those 163, 144 applicants were selected for interview. There are 72 spots total for both campuses combined (36 each). This means we have a 50% chance of getting in immediately, and a 50% chance of getting in the waitpool. For those who are in the waitpool, if you don't hear anything From CON after Dec. 25, you are most likely not getting into the program starting Jan. 2013. The interview however, is equally weighted with all the other areas (TEAS, GPAs) and after the interview, candidates will be re-evaluated and re-scored with their interview score incorporated. Then the CON will determine who is accepted vs. waitpooled. I know it might be disheartening to see these numbers, but I wanted everyone to get a realistic perspective on what chances we have. @laurenmalauren: Thanks for your encouragement! However, I am still sick to my stomach with nerves! It's 2 weeks away and I'm a hot-mess! I'm sure I'll be fine in the interview, I usually do fine in those settings, but it's so nerve-racking because I've worked so hard to get here and pushed myself so much... Anybody else with me?

I'll be there at 9:30 am. Getting the background check done now. I also applied to both with a preference to Cocoa, but I don't care which one at this point. Good luck to everyone!

@chavon13: I believe that is what they said at the information session but I don't think they make official decisions until after the interview. Some of us will be placed on the waitpool which is one reason why they want us to have our background checks completed, because they could call last minute and tell someone in the waitpool to come in & everyone needs to be ready so there are no shenanagins in January if that happens.

At the information session Alton said that those who are chosen for interview are provisionally accepted. The interview determines whether you get in right away or if you get on the waitlist. The waitlist expires the first week of spring semester, but he said that it is common for those waitlisted to get bumped up as many students opt for different programs or choose other things. There are 35 spots for each campus and my guess is that they hold up to another 35 for the waitpool. That would make a total of approx. 140 interviewees (+/-).

I GOT IT!!!! Just came in like 30 seconds ago! GOOD LUCK TO ALL SEE YOU 10/30! For those who don't make the cut, please read: This is the 4th time I have applied to UCF's Nursing Program (applied 2x Orlando campus & 2x to Regional Campuses). Was Denied all previous times and just got denied to BCC's program last week. 5 Denials and I never gave up. But I did cry (a lot), and got angry, and worked my tail off to improve my GPA and scores. What I am saying for those who don't get in this time, DO NOT GIVE UP! I didn't. Just keep swimming...

No, still waiting... I think there are still a few others waiting like I am. Yes it is crazy (plus I work 30-40 hrs/week). Sometimes I don't know whether I'm coming or going... the weeks just blur by. But I consider it preparation for nursing school. Still arguing with myself as to whether I am going to work at all during a program, or not. What about you? Are you planning on working while in the program?

@cnicole6: What are your stats? And what campus(es) did you apply to?
