  1. I just had my orientation and found out that my school is offering 3 choices in buying the required textbooks. In all 3 cases you are getting all books for the entire program at once. 1. All hard copies in two large boxes. 2. All e-books preloaded on a tablet. About $100 cheaper than the hard copies and a lot easier to carry around. The price includes the tablet, but I don't know what kind. 3. All e-books loaded on a tablet you provide. About $500 cheaper than the hard copies but you still need to buy the tablet. Has anyone tried all e-books? I'm trying to decide what to do. Neither option will be available until January, so I have some time to think about it.
  2. I start in January also. I was surprised to see quite a few guys at the orientation today. Looks like about 20% of the class is male. I'm the oldest guy at 44. A few of the ladies looked older.
  3. I just took it yesterday. Program Type: ADN Adjusted Individual Total Score: 83.3% ATI Academic Preparedness Level: Advanced Mean - National: 64.3% Mean - Program: 64.9% Percentile Rank - National - 93 Percentile Rank - Program - 94 Reading Adjusted Individual Score 88.1% Mathematics A.I.S. 83.3% Science A.I.S. 79.2% English and Language Usage A.I.S. 86.7%
  4. The program mean is not your individual school.n It is all students in that type of program: LPN, ADN, or BSN. Your school may have data on their applicants but the program mean on the TEAS results paper you get is for all programs of that type.
