Just keeping you on your toes! I know what you mean though...I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not a student anymore and I am officially licensed to work as a RN all on my own! And with Versant its hard to know what the expectations are since we're kinda like students, but we're also working as full-time RNs. I guess we will find out very shortly! Oh, and I have a stupid question... we're supposed to wear scrubs monday, right? I just assumed so, but now thinking about it I'm not too sure since we won't be doing patient care or anything. I'm getting so excited!

I dont remember them mentioning anything at open house, but I would definitely brush up on the basics. You dont want to come off as being incompetent, and I'm sure our preceptors will be testing our knowledge!

Jealous!!! I can't wait to buy a new car!! I also still drive my very first car from high school, which happens to be a hand-me-down from my oldest sister so it's REALLY old!!! Haha. I wish I lived closer to you guys.. It would have been fun to meet up before we start!

Yep, that's totally me too. Watching TV all day and working out when I feel motivated- which isn't very often! LOL. I hate feeling like I have nothing to do, but I guess it's the calm before the storm! I'm sure we will soon be complaining about having TOO much to do and being pooped after our long days! That is quite a commute for you! Do you know what shift you'll be working? Hopefully you wont hit traffic in the mornings. Right now I'm living in Tracy- about half an hour away- so it's not too bad of a drive.

October 15th can't come quick enough!! I am getting sooooo bored with not working or going to school!! What have you all been doing to pass the time???

Lol luckily I'm going out of town for the weekend so I might be able to get it off my mind for a couple days. As for the med surg manager, I'm thinking she was the kinda quiet one? I know which ones were critical care and tele, so I'm guessing the other one had to have been med surg (I can't remember her name), but she was at all three of my interviews.

I feel SO lucky to have been chosen for a third interview!!!! It's amazing that they cut it down to such a small group of us so fast. Wishing everyone the best of luck this week.. I know all of us will rock it!! :)

Yay edithjg! We WILL be colleagues WHEN we get hired!!! I think the CCU manager likes me better than the ICU manager, so that's probably my best bet. If I remember right from the open house, they said there are 6 openings just for critical care so hopefully the odds are in our favor. And I'm assuming the CNO doesn't want to waste her time interviewing TONS of applicants for a few positions, so my thinking is that they cut it down pretty good for her :) And ilovescrubs- I think all of the new grads have lecture time together, so we will all get to hangout anyways! Keeping fingers crossed for all of us.. hopefully we will be meeting soon

WOOHOO!!!! Congrats!!! I got my call this morning too and couldn't be happier! :D Do you have any idea how many are interviewing for 3rd round? I was planning on asking but was too excited and forgot! LOL

LOL! Hopefully we all did EQUALLY bad and will be getting calls very soon! What units did you guys interview for?

Ok girls, I have the same problem (5 feet, 105 lbs) and have discovered that Cherokee Workwear 4020 in size XXS Petite are the best! They are super comfy, low rise, and have a drawstring and lots of pockets. They are by far my favorite pants and I have them in all my favorite colors! Second faves are Dickies Hip Flip collection which are also cute, but I tend to like the drawstring better.

Thank you edithjg! That is great to know! And my second interview didnt go as smoothly as planned either.. I definitely messed up on a few questions, but I'm hoping that they understand that as new graduates we aren't always going to know what to do right away or how to handle new situations. Hopefully we will all be getting calls this week for third interviews with the CNO!
