  1. Thank you I will definitely look into that group. I interviewed with DaVita in reference from someone in the program but just waiting for a call back!
  2. Is anyone aware of any PNAP friendly employers in the Pittsburgh area? Since being released back to work I have been on several interviews but it seems that the PNAP program turns the employer off. Because I have a narcotic restriction (and am in no hurry to get back to the schedule an inpatient role requires) I have been interviewing at places that do not even pass medications, such as dialysis and outpatient offices. I always assure them that the only thing required from the employer is quarterly reports (a one page paper to fill out, not an essay or anything). I also make sure they understand that I am in the program for something that occurred outside the workplace and in no way will interfere with my ability to be a great nurse. Any help or leads to employers is greatly appreciated!! Before all of this I had no trouble getting a job. I always interview well and am offered a position immediately so this is disheartening!
  3. Kate and Kgrise...congrats! I am so excited and ready. Are you guys working and going to school?
  4. I was wondering if anyone else here would be starting at the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing this Fall? I will be in the part-time program, but I know a day program starts too.
  5. I am starting the part-time weekend program in the fall this year. I have already been accepted, and have the first year of college courses done. I work for Shadyside Hospital during the day. Good luck!
