To any and all footcare nurse business owners
I am interested in this too. Who inspects your clinic? How does that work? I can't find out who would inspect a clinic in Tennessee? Thanks, I wish you well.

In Tennessee or other states, who inspects your foot care clinic?
In Tennessee or other states, who inspects your foot care clinic? I have called the Board of Health and the Board of Nursing, no one seems to know. I tried emailing the class at E'Claire? Not sure I spelled that correctly and heard nothing. I haven't researched in a bit and thought before I start up again I would ask the knowledgeable people here. Thanks.

To any and all footcare nurse business owners
Footqueen, I realize this is an older post, however, what type of licensure or certification did you need to get in order to have your own clinic site? Who inspects your site? I was trying to find information on the government website and am not having much luck. I will call the Health Department and try to find more info. I just thought I would ask you first. Hope all is going well. Thanks

getting my BSN at 43, scared and misunderstood...help!!!
Hang in there. You are doing great and so often sacrifices are not known by our children until they are grown. I am 41 and understand your excitement of A's on exams! Your decision to get a BSN will benefit you in giving you opportunities for a nursing career. I wish you the best, and even at our age we grow out of friends and into new ones.

Tennessee LPN's Independent Contractors for immunization clinic
Thanks, it wasn't the tax laws I am familiar with those, the gray area was with supervision. The company said the state law was referring to supervision as in a physicians office or supervision as related to a speciality area. The state board policy states LPN's working in the field must have supervision, not constant but supervised visits that are documented. It seemed to me that the companies legal take on supervision was not exactly what the state policy said. I decided that it was too iffy and it is my license on the line and a few immunizations is not worth it at this point. I just wanted some experience while I am in school for my RN. The company said they had LPN's in TN working as IC's, that's why I thought I would search here to see if I am misunderstanding something. Thanks though for your reply, self employment tax is higher than being an employee.
