  1. Ok so I am strongly interested in becoming a nurse practitioner. To do that I would have to become a registered nurse :) and bsn msn and stuff...ok let me get to the point after high school I went straight to a community college and into there nurse assistant program yay woohoo lol I feel like that was a bad idea but in the long run could be a benefit but any who I did that took the exams and got my certificate in December from then till now I didn't take any classes this year horrible right? :/ but they have a RN associates program that I'm interested in that requires prerequisite courses....what should I do ? Did I slack big time? Do you think I'm far behind?
  2. Thanks so much and question do you think it would be better to take general Ed at a jr college first
  3. I'm not in nursing school! Getting my CNA and working/volunteering at facility which I am doing now will look good on my application for med school. I am in a 5 month CNA program I will be certified in December if I pass the state exam.
  4. Thanks! :) they did say it helps with med school applications.
  5. And "to smart to be a nurse" that's kind of insulting not to be disrespectful to you.
  6. I know what I'm getting into honestly. I personally do not think I am waisting time I had clinical today actual and also my instructors teach what RNs would do. I know what medicine is and i know my goal is expensive. I've been in the health academy and learning from my own personal doctor and asking questions.
  7. Thanks and yeah I'm 18 I just want to continue to get my CNA, I mean my goal is to be a doctor but why not have other titles as well? I just want something to do while I figure out how to accomplish my long term goal.
  8. I completed my pre reqs I'm starting clinical tomorrow! :-D
  9. I thought you had to complete a amount of credits to get in a 4 year if your in a jr college
  10. I know but I'm not in a 4 year yet that's what I'm trying to say. This junior college has a nursing program. I know that becoming a nurse will not get me into medical school. I am at a > 2 year
  11. Yeah that makes no sense it is best to be a CNA first just to learn the respect and aide residents/patients need and I just realized that, thanks I never thought about that. I went to the doctor a couple months ago and asked a lvn or lpn (one of those) some questions and she just told me being a CNA would waist my time and I should jump right to lvn.
  12. .....I am currently at a jr college sense I'm here I'm doing the CNA while I wait to go to a four year so I can at least embrace what some facilities are like. Sense I'm going to start clinical which is good and is also about 375+ hours at the end and a good look. When I'm done with this, which will be in December, il take other classes I know junior classes will not do that.
