  1. Hello.... I've been caring for my elderly parents since I was 26 years old, and I'm 43 now. I also am a single dad of a 13 year old. I got my degree in nursing in 1996. Due to family priorities, I never was able to fulfill my obligation to get my state licsense. Due to my family commitments, I really couldn't work anyway. I was needed at home, my support system was far away, and my ex wife was not a good mother, so I was needed at home 24/7. Now, my son and his mother are getting along, he may want to move in with her, (in the rebellious phase), I have a sister in town to help with our parents, plus my other siblings are getting more involved, so it might be time to spread my wings, and get back into my career. I was thinking about going back to get re-educated in the latest updates, and to refresh myself. Has anyone been in my situation, in regards to being out of the loop, then getting back in? Thanks theliberalone
