  1. AUHS is a 3 year program without prereqs, or two and half years for the actual program. It's CCNE accredited.
  2. I'm a first year nursing student with AUHS. It's not a easy program but I have to say it's worth the money. My friend who applied to a community college for her AA in nursing complain about her profs. all day because their class is bigger and less time for questions. I think for nursing wise, private schools thats accredited is the way to go.
  3. for those thatmight consider auhs: this is a fairly new nursing school. it's not as popular as some of the nursingschool out there but i do recommend for those that are interested into a careerof nursing to check out the facility and attend their info session. it helps toget some information before deciding which nursing school is best for you. from my experience: i went to three nursing info sessions from different schools in the past year.some are straight forward about what the school can offer but some actuallysugar coat lot of the information. it helps to outweigh some of the pros andcons before deciding which school to apply. for instances, the school's nclexrate, the certification, and financial aids are just some of the basic informationto jog down before deciding what school is best for you. i've been with auhs for about 6 month now, so far i have to say i'm enjoying myexperience. the prof's are hard but it should be a standard for all nursingschools. they are very resourceful and helpful if you have any questions.
